We had such a great time connecting for our August Ladies Connected Event at Sleuth's Mystery Dinner Lots of laughs, good food, plenty of time to connect with wonderful & down to earth women. Great conversation and time to enjoy while having a great time with friends, new faces and our teens. Our teens were very engaged with figuring out the clues and solving the mystery. See our pics!

What We’ve Been Up To January Recap--We touched on the pandemic and our adjustment in all areas whether family, work, dreams/goals, health, etc. Ideas were shared at our January event that encouraged us to keep going and not give up! February Recap--February was Heart Month and it was a reminder to put on our oxygen mask first before anyone else to ensure that we are alive and kicking to fully be able to give to our families and others as needed. It was also a discussion at our monthly event on being fully planted in ourselves at work, home, etc. It was shared through one of our blogs that heart month was the focus on "self-love" and spreading love to others (family, volunteering, etc.), as well an additional goal to remember how worthy we are as women no matter what is happening around us. This ability to be planted in "who we are" was an important reminder, so that we could show up even more present in our families, our workplaces and our communities. March Recap--This month our goal was to bring greater balance into our lives as women. As women we are so busy that sometimes we forget to remember how important it is to bring balance into all areas whether health, fitness, side businesses, goals/dreams, fun, relaxation, etc. We had 4 AMAZING businesses join us and share their ideas on how to bring additional balance into our lives. It was a fun time with some wonderful business owners. Our challenge for this month....What is the one step that you will make today to become more planted in who you are this year versus last year regardless of your title? For me, I plan to pay close attention to myself within my titles/roles and ensure that I am fully planted in myself regardless of the title. If I notice in one of my roles that I am not grounded enough in myself, I will focus on figuring out why and set boundaries or whatever is needed to get back to my center. Excited for this month's challenge!
Building bridges of wisdom through shared life experiences. Wow! Yesterday's LC event was just that......diversity in age & perspective. content media

Volunteering would be awesome to do right now in celebrating others and in return our hearts would be full too. Ladies Connected volunteered at a shelter for women in February of last year before everything shut down with the pandemic. It was a day full of pampering for the women started by a quick word of encouragement, fresh baked cookies and other snacks, gift bags for each woman and their children, followed by manicures and pedicures all completed by the spectacular ladies in our Ladies Connected Village. I am so thankful for the ladies that helped and also our pre-teen girls that helped pull it off that day too. Bright nail polish colors in whichever color they chose & nice conversation to boost their spirits at the same time. A great time in sharing love for others...
It's February....Heart Month...The Month of love. Should not every month be focused on love? Any ideas to celebrate you or someone else? content media

I used to go Disney a lot throughout the week after work with my daughter, but I have stopped that throughout this pandemic. It was always so fun! I just think it's so important to laugh a lot and build in fun moments if you can throughout the week and daily if possible. This pandemic really is pushing us to get creative with doing this. Check out some pictures we took from the Drive-Through Safari in Orlando and also a quick video of the the Air Boat ride we enjoyed! We have also gone to Drive-In Movie Theaters in several areas and camped in the back of our SUV comfy with our pillows & blankets while munching on some nice snacks. Post some pictures and show us what you have been doing. I would love to hear some other great ideas.
How are you incorporating fun into your daily life in the midst of the pandemic? Any good ideas? content media

I committed to adding exercise into my routine for the next month. What is everyone else committing to? Let's hold each other accountable like we talked about yesterday. You all really helped push me yesterday to get a fire underneath me for the things that are important to me.

I am stepping up to my personal challenge of adding exercise into my week for the next 35 days. Will you all hold me accountable to this?

One of my favorite books is Undaunted by Christine Caine; Daring to Do what God calls you to do. Such an amazing book--its a page turner. I was sitting on the edge of my seat when I was reading it. I loved this book because she was raw & real in this book, she had an an openness with her heart, and bravery to explain the many challenges that she experienced in her life. It really motivated me to be bold with my life mission regardless of what I've been through. An amazing author!
