Have you been afraid to go after your dreams or passions because it seemed too impossible to reach? Well I most certainly have. I've been afraid to dream because it just seemed to "BIG" to reach for. It seemed like it was something that other people could do, but not me. Dreaming or living my passion seemed too overwhelming to even try to go after. After all, the dream that I had in my head was too big, so why even try? I was really afraid that I would fail in a huge way and never reach my dream, so why even dream???? I would never reach it anyway, so why even get started? But then I would get frustrated when I saw other people living their dreams and passions. Why could they do it, but I couldn't? Is this you? Do you feel like this or have you ever felt this way? Trust me, I've been there and really I am still on my path to reaching my ultimate vision for my "BIG" dream. How do I plan to keep my focus with my "BIG" dream so far off and with a faint light flickering at the end of the tunnel? I'm glad you asked, lol! Well, I have 5 keys that I want to share that will help me keep my focus and will help you unlock your passions too: 1) STOP and Get Quiet. Be by yourself. Be still. Think. Journal your thoughts. What is my "BIG" dream for myself? What is my greatest gift that I can give to the world? What is my one passion? 2) STOP and ask yourself: What is blocking me from reaching my "BIG" dream or greatest passion? ***Be Honest*** Is it fear? Is it finances? Is it that your too busy with your 9-5 job and you don't know how to fit it in? Are you afraid of failing? 3) STOP making excuses for why you can't do it. Yes you can! "Where there's a will there's a way." --Les Brown 4) STOP and ask yourself: Who is my support system that will hold me accountable for going after my greatest passions and dreams? ****This is very important: You can't do this alone, you must have a strong support system of your closest family, friends, co-workers, church, or community group that you can connect with on your journey. Dreams don't happen over night. You must pursue your dream non-stop no matter how long it takes until you reach it. Little by little, day by day, you will get there.
