LC September Outreach Event with Serenity Touch Outreach Ministry

Our outreach efforts for September will be donating and assisting with Purses of Hope. We are partnering with Serenity Touch Outreach Ministry for our September outreach. 

We will work with Serenity Touch Outreach Ministry to sponsor Sulzbacher Homeless Shelter and First Coast Women’s Center for domestic violence victims. Our goal will be to collect as many new and gently used, clean & in great shape purses to provide basic living essentials which include carefully packaged gift bags and notes of encouragement letting the recipient know that someone cares and they are not invisible. We will begin collecting purses and gift bags on September 1st. 

The gift bags items are registered with Amazon for those who wish to donate items for the Purses of Hope. If you purchase any item(s), you may place on the gift receipt line Ladies Connected, so they will know it is from our group.

September 30, 2022 will be the deadline for collecting the purses and basic essential items for Ladies Connected. Our goal is 30-50 purses donated from Ladies Connected to include 1 purse per lady if possible or if you also have tween/teen(s) maybe they can donate one also making it 2 for you if desired. If you can do more great, we just want to try to beat their goal of 65 purses donated last year, so they can donate even more this year with our help. No pressure if you are not interested in donating or do not desire to donate at this time. 

Serenity Touch Outreach Ministry will be packing the gift bags for the purses and writing notes for delivering the purses tentatively in October. Anyone interested (including tweens/teens for volunteer opportunity) in helping to pack & deliver the purses please email Allison.L@ladiesconnected.com and we will keep you posted on the dates for that.
